Hi Everybody!
Sorry it has been SO long since I've updated this thing. I've had a relaxing week here in Melbourne...
Last Sunday I went to visit Emily at her house in Chelsea which was really nice. I got to meet her mum, who was really really nice, and we just had a fun chill day, did a bit of shopping, had lunch by the ocean, took a drive to see some beautiful views. That night the girls (Sari, Em, Zoe and I) had a date with Mike, to have some dinner at a bar/restaurant called HooHaa. (heehee.) I was quite nervous for this dinner- I realllly needed it to happen that night, cause little did the girls know, they had a very special surprise coming! We all got there, ordered some bubbly, Mike showed up, and we got to small talk... Then, around the corner came Wattsy! The girls were all shocked, it was great. As far as the other girls knew Watts had arrived from LA to Sydney that day, and wouldn't be in Melbourne till after our trip to the Whitsundays... It was really nice to have us all reunited.

The five of us together on Sunday after Wattsy's surprise! up with Wattsy in the city, walked around and did some shopping, I bought a big floppy sunhat which should be great for the sailing and for the Falls Festival. It was a fun day, tons of walking, that night Zoe and I just cooked some dinner.
Tuesday I went to St. Kilda, a really cool beachy neighborhood- I'm thinking of staying in a Backpacker's there in the new year. It's where Mike and Wattsy are staying, and we walked around that area, had some delicious gelato then walked along the beach. It was, unfortunately pretty overcast, but it was nice to set foot in the ocean, and then we had an AMAAAAAZING dinner at a vegetarian called Soul Mama. After that we had a couple drinks then headed home.
Wednesday was supposed to be a beach day, but it was INTENSELY storming, so that didn't work out so well. Instead I went to the National Gallery of Victoria where I saw some cool collections, including one on fashion from the 80s. I also went to their current exhibiton on British Art: 1900-1960. I took a guided tour (cause I'm a nerd!) It was great, a very well
put together collection and I really enjoyed my afternoon.
Thursday... umm thursday was again supposed to be a beach day, and again it stormeeed. So we did not a whole lot... went to Ikea, cause we were supposed to see a movie at the moonlight cinema in the botanical gardens, but it was rained out. Instead we had a picnic in the living room, eating lots of yummy cheese and wine...
Today was a laaaazy day, we bought some groceries to make a big breakfast, hung out, and tonight we went out to a bar called Lucky Coq. So that's the update!
Whew. I should keep this thing more up to date, my life will seem a little more exciting when I haven't forgotten the details, hehe.
