Hey guys,

Sorry for not writing in the last few days, I've been busy and over the weekend I didnt have any internet. With that I'll recap you on each day.

Thursday - 24th

Thursday was my last day up in Port Macquarie, I sat in the sun in the morning and tanned and relaxing the rest of the day. It was a restful day before the long car ride ahead of us.

Friday - 25th

Friday was a long day, and by long I mean 13 hours in a car. We all woke up early and by 7:30am we were in the car driving south towards Merlbourne. In the car I watched 3 movies: Inception (great movie), Ted (terrible movie) and Wreck-It Ralph (pretty good movie). I don't think I have ever seen so many different gas stations and Mcdonalds in one day. Tom's step dad before we even got in the car in the morning said we would get to the house at exactly 8:30pm that night. We hit every light perfectly and arrive in their drive way at exactly 8:30pm. After that we were all exhausted, we ordered pizza and turned in.

Saturday - 26th

AUSTRALIA DAY! It was an early morning for us as we had to get to the other exchanges house so we could go to their beachouse. Nathan's parents were nice enough to take the other Canadian student Devon, Nathan his exchange, Tom and I to their beachhouse for the weekend. Their beachhouse is just an hour's drive out of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula. As soon as we arrived at their house we found the ping pong table and spent many an hour dueling it out on the mansonite, tennis rules. Nathan's dad took us sight-seeing around the coast before a great dinner made by Nathan's mom and the women's final of the Australian Open. Azerenka has an annoying grunt.

Sunday - 27th

Sunday was another day filled with intense ping pong matches with both Tom and I reigning victorious over Nathan and Devon, respectively. Also, Nathan's extended family came over for lunch to celebrate his birthday with a massive feast. There were salads, chicken, fries, italian delicacies (Nathan's Dad is Italian) and so much more, to finish a magnificent pavlova smothered with whipped cream and fresh fruit. Before the men's final of the tennis we walked down to the beach and swam around in the bay. It was quite shallow, you could walk out 500m and still be able to touch the ground. The day ended with watched the men's final; with four Djokovic fans you could say the night ended well.

Monday - 28th

We left the beachouse just after breakfast and I finally arrived to Tom's house permanently. The day went well. I started to organize my stuff before Tom and I went to the gym for 2 hours. We got home and I caught up on my television shows while Tom caught up on NBA.

Tuesday - 29th

A very relaxing day. I did almost nothing. I needed it. I slept in until 11:30am and unpacked all of my things. Tom had to work until 4:45pm so I just hung out around the hosue and acquainted myself with my surroundings. When Tom got back we went to one of his friends houses for dinner. We watched The Big Bang Theory before turning in.

Today - 30th

Today, I did laundry. Exciting right? Now I'm talking to you guys. Later today Tom and I are going to the gym before Nathan and Devon come over (I think).

Thoughts

I love Australia. The people are great, the geography is great; everything is great! I'll be sure to write another blog on Friday after my first day of school! That's all for now.

Over and Out,

Jake
