The Funniest Pic EVER (says Lucy)
Lucy: Everytime I think of this I laugh! I don't even know why! 13th August 2008 - Great Ocean Road
We got picked up in a mini van from our hostel early in the morning for our day tour. Our first stop was Bells Beach which is a very famous surfing beach in the summer as the waves are collosal! We also had a quick stop at the lighthouse that was used in the kids tv programme Round The Twist - anyone remember that! I used to watch it loads!
We had lunch in a picnic area where there were lots of birds - they landed on everyone! I did squeal when the first one landed but then I got used to it! They do have sharp claws though.
The main attraction along the Great Ocean Road are the Twelve Apostles - of which there are only eight now! They were very impressive and took my breath away! We also stopped off at London Bridge and Lock Ard Gorge - also very impressive.
The scenary was fantastic on the trip but it took a total of 14 hours of driving to get us there and back and the poor tour guide talked the entire time. He had a
very deep monotone voice and everytime we got back on the bus he sent us all to sleep within minutes! This didnt deter him though - he kept on going all day and well into the night! I bet he slept well when he got home!
