Dinner in the Blue Mountains After having a beautiful dinner, having a very well needed shower (we did conquer a mountain after all) and a really good night sleep we waved goodbye to Jim, Jamie and her family. Next destination was the Blue Mountains. Just the name makes it feel mysterious. Who doesn’t want to get lost in the Blue Mountains…
…we didn’t really get lost tho. We actually had some (more) family to visit J Sean and Manoo live on a beautiful farm surrounded by fields, animals and (of course) mountains. Their house is an absolute dream house. It has a relaxing and comfortable feeling with a beautiful artistic touch. We parked our van next to a little lake on their property not far away from their house. (a morning swim in your own lake is the perfect start of the day). We spent the evening with Jean, Manoo and Marie (who also lives on the farm), had a beautiful dinner (once again… I think we are getting spoiled…) and a peaceful evening in their cosy living room with their 6 dogs (!) changing stories and enjoying life on the farm.
Next morning we headed south of Sydney for some more beach life
before we would get back home to Frankston… Or at least that was the plan. First we drove through the majestic Blue Mountains, stopped at look outs and embraced the nature. It could be worse... 😉 Then,1 hour from Sydney, our beauty of vehicle started to feel a little bit strange and didn’t really want to change gear anymore. After trying many different technics of driving a car with a non-functional gear box the master of driving (not me) came up with a new way of how to drive a car. Put it in 2
nd gear downhill. Start the engine, accelerate, turn off the engine (while driving), change gear to 3
rd…. and off we go. It took us all the way to the Wicked Camper’s office south of Sydney where a new (much newer) van waiter for us. We cleaned our “Peace & Love – van”, said goodbye and continued our drive towards Melbourne in our new “I take acid to make to world seem normal – van” just in time for a big storm to start. Once again, safe and cosy in a van on the road.
We started to feel like we wanted to be back with

Morning shower family and friends in Frankston so we only mad a couple of more stops before we were back home. More morning swims, cooking in parks, magical sceneries and friendly souls… Can’t complain. Travelling around in a campervan with not much things make you realise that you don’t need that much to be happy. Actually you don’t need anything to be happy. Happiness comes from inside, the rest is a bonus. It’s easy to get sucked in to our materialistic society. Don’t forget to appreciate the small things. The small things are the once that really matters and that will make us feel content and satisfied at the end of the day. At least it is for me.
Our almost 2 week road trip are now over, for this time. We are still on a journey tho, like always. It had been amazing and I feel very lucky to be a part of all this. I will continue to write about our following freakiness and silliness and other details of our lives that I will like to share with you.
I just got a great idea of a new project… Will let you know more when I’m ready
