Well after sleeping on a ferry all night we have landed in Tasmania, with sun but fresh air,and 2 jumpers. We spent the day traveling the coast line heading north west. Our first stop was Burnie, here we decided to investigate The Creative Paper factory, this was really interesting, they recycle all kinds of things like cotton that is left over from the end of the reel, this also gives the colour to the paper. The most interesting thing that they recycle is Kanagroo poo, I found this really funny and the paper was still white but with brown flecks in it. Of course I bought some, I suppose recycling the poo is better than treading in it all the time.

We headed north west today following the coast the drive was lovely but very hilly, we headed out to a village called Stanley, this was the cutest little village, all of the stores were in tiny old school houses with the lowest ceilings. The village was made up of about 10 shops. We were hoping to go up the chair lift to check out the view but tis was not our lucky day as it had closed, so of we

headed to Port Arther. On arriving here we found we had come to The Edge of the World, by tis time it was around 5pm and cold so I would not even venture out of the car for a picture.

We now realised that the road we thought was going to take us around, was in fact a dirt track and we are not in a 4x4 so of we headed for Somerset where we treated ourselfs to a log built cabin, with a fire in which we put on straight away. So nice to have a bed for the night.
