The Breakaways campground - sunrise (through the screen of the camper) Breakaways - (Eyre Highway, Nullarbor) Fraser Range Station - Mundrabilla - Coorabie Farm - Port Augusta
We had a late(ish) start from the Breakaway campground because we knew we didn't have a long day - only be going as far as Fraser Range Station, to meet up with friends who are travelling the opposite direction. This also meant that we had plenty of time to stop and look at a few things along the way, like Lake Cowan Lookout (on the tourist track to Norseman), Beacon Lookout (at Norseman) and Buldania Rocks (Eyre Highway). We stopped at Norseman for breakfast and fuel then onto the Eyre Highway travelling east.
Fraser Range Station was a nice campground, and where we met up with Paul and Roseanne. We had a short walk around the campground area (but it was too cold and windy to go far) and then went out for dinner. It was very windy that night so not much sleeping for me, again... The bad weather seems to be following us.
Another late start the next day, but we had no plans on where to stop overnight - just somewhere along the Nullarbor. We had a few quick

Cowan lookout stops, but most places it was too cold and windy to stay outside for long. The first stop was at Newman Rock, then Balledonia Roadhouse for breakfast. Caiguna Blowhole was a bit disappointing - apparently all caves 'breath' (out when air pressure falls and in when it rises) and you can feel vigorous 'breathing' at the Caiguna Blowhole. Unfortunately we couldn't feel anything today because of the high winds. We stopped at a couple of rest areas but decided to go on to Mundrabilla Roadhouse so that we could hook up to power and run the heater (I know - we're getting soft). I am so over the cold...
Another late start - the time change is harder to get used to going east. There are a lot of lookouts along the Eyre Highway (Nullarbor) - and the scenery along the Nullarbor is ever changing. A lot of people say it's boring, but we love it. I've added photos of the many lookouts and the changing scenery below... The rain followed us all day and we were happy to pull into the camp at Coorabie Farm and see the nice big camp kitchen with communal campfire. We set up

Norseman - Beacon lookout the camper between the drizzling showers of rain. The wind was gusty all night long and the next morning I was concerned about our plans to go to some spots along the Eyre Peninsular as the forecast was for more cold gusty wind and rain. We decided to head towards Adelaide and visit Kevin's sister for a couple of days. We stopped at Port Augusta for the night before continuing to Adelaide - and got a hotel unit in the caravan park. I need to get some sleep tonight, getting very tired!
