After arriving at Port Macdonnel we had a restful couple of days, walking along the sea front, visiting the local library to use the internet and watching penguins from the headland up the road.
A few days in Kaye (Eve's sister in law) had arranged a get together with her family. We had a traditional Ozzy barbie with traditional English BBQ weather. The family were very welcoming, especially Kaye's mum who was a real Grandmother. Kaye's brothers 'entertained' Eve with all of their stories of snake bites and trips to the hospital.
We followed this up with a visit to the family farm, where Kaye's mum made a great lunch then showed us around, Eve even sat in the tractor. It was a lovely day even though we were shown off the premises by a huge bull.
Tomorrow we leave the quiet life behind and we're taking Mum and Dad to the Grampians for some walking and hopefully wildlife spotting. We've been told the wild flowers are great in spring.
