We had a great time together!
6:15am Dec 22-7:30pm Dec 24 i spend with an amazing group of backapackers on Kangaroo Island. We were on a 3day/2night tour with Groovy Grape Getaways and we had an absolute blast doing EVERYTHING there is to do on KI. I rode in the front seat of the van with an Swiss girl (Michelle) and our aussie "tour guide/friend" (Lawrence). The three of us danced and sang to music for the whole road trip over there and on the island. Our group had 1 japanese, 2 italians, 3 isreales, 1 french, 1 austrian, 1 swiss, 2 english and me the canadian. Day one was grocery shopping, a Eucalyptus distillery, a Marron farm with wine tasting, setting up camp at "the cottage", watching all the Kangaroos on our property (i got a great video of 2 kangaroos boxing while I hid behind a bush meters away), finding koalas in the surrounding trees, searching for penguins at the Bay with red flashlights and then campfire time. Day 2 started early for myself, Michelle and Ame (japanese guy) when we went QUAD BIKING for just over an hour, SO much fun...I definitely want to do that at home too. After packing up camp we

soooo much fun!
went to the Little Sahara sanddunes for sandboarding and tobaganing! Next we went to Seal Bay to watch the Sea Lions who were in breeding season, then drove for a while to Flinders Chase where we saw seals sunbathing under a magnificent rock archway. On the way we stopped to see the Remarkable Rocks...they were remarkable thats for sure. Guillseppe is the funniest italian i've ever met, he thought everything was AMAZING! He certainly kept us in stitches for the most the 3 days. At the rocks I was playing with my camera and somehow deleted ALL of my photos from the whole trip (most are backed up on a flashdrive...but still!!!) Luckily I have a second memory card and apparently if i take the "deleted" card into a geek they can recover my pics...fingers crossed!! That evening we stayed on a farm in a hostel. It was beautiful there too. After dinner we watched Braveheart and went to bed.
Day 3 started early with a Koala sanctuary, beautiful beach views, Kelly Hill Caves, a few hour tanning on a big beach where the crystal clear water was so cold but so refreshing! We then had a big lunch and caught the ferry back to Adelaide. On the ferry I drank my first Farmers Union Ice Coffee YUMMY and then we visited Santa! .....
Back in Adelaide we all went home to shower then met up again for some drinks. Because no one had family in town, not even Lawrence, we were each others family. So we drank and danced and sang Christmas carols in the streets!
