Mission accomplished today - a walk in the early morning ( well- early for me - not for Ms I-get- up- at- 5am- every- day- Diane ) I was up at 6 ... at Diane's by 7.15 - started walking at 7-40.

An astonishing number of people out early - to beat the heat I guess as the temp was forecast to be 36 degC which is blood temperature really - but how much hotter that feels OUTSIDE the body :-)

We walked from mid-way between Grange and Henley Bch Jetties - to Glenelg - and back ... about 20km I think .....

Bandaid Blister Aid placed on suspect toe was effective in making it painless to walk - but didnt stay in place once shoes were removed and we walked at the water's edge from half of the way back .......... felt a bit achy and creaky after getting out of car for cuppa at Di's ..... while there also tried on Diane's mostly filled backpack... and we reminded ourselves we NEED to start walking with backpacks/ boots/poles and all to prepare . Trouble is in such temperatures it's very tempting to NOT - the average temps along the camino in April are 4-16 deg C ..... there may be one or two days hotter - though they will be bonus.......... discussed today - caps/glasses/bumbags/rocks to leave on camino/plans for between Camino end and 12 day Mediterranean cruise
