Weipa

When we got to Weipa we found the camping ground, and set up. I got to unravel the power lead. We had a look at the car. We noticed we have done the front left strut on the shock absorber. So we can’t go anywhere until we get it fixed. Go in to town and looked for the mechanic. Mum and Dad went in and arranged for the replacement strut to be ordered. It won’t leave Cairns until Tuesday and arrive Wednesday night. Car will be fixed Thursday and then we can leave.

For lunch we had a snack at the bakery. We went to the newsagents to have a look around. We had to buy a new phone that is Next G. This is the only service available in Cape York. Later we went in the pool and I met a new friend called Alex. We played together and had fun. It was very confusing for everyone with 2 boys called Alex. So I was Al and he was Jasper. He lives in New South Wales.
