Arrived at the
Palm Cove foreshore near the caravan park at 5.50am, getting used to these early morning starts now. Met tour guide Johnny and the other kayakers for our short adventure. Launched the kayaks in what light there was and headed out on smooth water. Plenty to see on the bottom as we were blessed with an amazing sunrise. Everythings so casual up here, even the sunrise was late. Paddled over to Double Island for a light breakfast. Wandered the beach viewing the stingrays (about the size of a dinner plate) resting on the bottom only a metre or two from the waters edge.
