The Welcome sign to the town of Karamba
5th November 2012.

After a nice break, we packed up early and headed to Karumba, the Gulf of Carpentaria. We arrived in the town of Karumba and it look rather ordinary. The Norman River, which leads to the Gulf was very murky and there were croc signs everywhere. Then we found Karumba Point and the magical views of the Gulf. The locals were friendly and we decided to have fresh seafood for lunch. After a full tummy, we headed to Mt Isa and the sealed roads made this trip much more relaxing. Stopped at Fountain Spring campsite, about 60km east of Mt Isa for dinner and an overnight snooze.
