the other side of the camera is the motor city madness, the contrast in vibrational energy between the natural jungle and the ashphalt, concrete and steel jungle is distressingly obvious.
.Just west of Caloundra, nestled alongside a majestic sub tropical National Park is Landsborough rest area. We have stayed here a few times and are often intrigued by the diversity of vehicles and their inhabitants, all taking a break from their long journeys up or down the green coastal fringe of this wide brown land. Luxury Winnebagos roll in, with everything including the kitchen sink, upmarket back packers in their juicy lucy / wicked /space campervans, 4wd's with fold down tents mounted on the roof, and every other conglomerate of freedom machines converging at this rest area, bed down for the nights rest.

Nestled between the sub tropical rainforest National Park and the busy 4 lane madness of the Steve Irwin Way, ( I feel the "way" is a bit busier than Steves way). However we found it intriguing, there we were camped with our awning perched right on the edge of the forest, with its amazing biodiversity of fauna and flora. Juxtaposed just 40 metres the other side of the camp area, on the asphalt tarmac, are the tricolor sentinels, otherwise known as traffic lights. These beacons of supposed order were unceasingly telling mad motorists in their machines when

the madness of the motorway, rush stop rush, caution, stop, rush equals mayhem madness
to stop and when to go. People in cars rushing everywhere, racing to be here or there, racing time, got to be there on time, but what is time, it never seems to stand still, waits for no-one,

What a load of crap!!!!!, where is the rush of the forest, listen carefully, there is no rush, just a purposeful parade of all things. The biodiversity of all things forever embedded in the ever present now, that my friend is my understanding of the concept we know as time. Time is the measurement between events. Between a new fragile forest seedling, springing to life on the forest floor, to the tall tree that grew in its own sweet time, and fell like all gone before, making way for its offspring. And so the wheel of time turns for all things, timeless it seems for the forest, same as it ever was.

It seems beyond the forest, to the jungle of concrete and steel, we are all chained to the ever increasing speed of the time wheel. We can all learn valuable lessons from the forest. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, STOP and look around you NOW. Breathe,

if only the Strangler brothers could go to work on the tricolor sentinels and other offensive anti progress condestructions.
Seek what ever you can of the Natural Kingdoms. Even if there is nothing natural that surrounds you, the forever sky, will always reveal the bigger picture, of a slower, more wholesome time wheel.

Time for a cuppa in the forest, Love to all. Bilbo/Basho
