Hi everyone,

Well yesterday morning, we left Magnetic Island and arrived in Townsville at around 10.30. We got some lunch and then boarded the Greyhound bus for the final time on this trip.. thanks the lord!! They have been great, but they were not designed for comfort!! haha..

So we head off on the six and a half journey to Cairns. Its a long trip- the longest yet. We manage to get some sleep and it's a bit overcast, so atleast we don't have to travel with the sun beaming through the windows.

Arrive at our hostel- beaches backpackers. It seems to be quite central. We get all our washing done- theres quite a bit as we have to throw everything in. We got eaten alive in Magnetic Island, as were practically sleeping outdoors! After this, we get settled in. It's not a great hostel- room is quite bad, but it does have a decent shower so atleast that's something!

Up bright and early this morning. Head into Cairns central shopping plaza. Its massive and quite good. We are a bit conscious of buying stuff due to baggage restrictions when we get back to Sydney and the flight on to Melbourne.

Heading to the beach now for the day- having a lazy one today as we are off on the tour "cape tribulation" tomorrow. We should have a great time, weather up here is fab and it isn't even summer here!!

Anyway until next time.

xx
