th: Maria and I woke up in the morning, ready to host our host family’s annual Halloween party. Jacqui had been cooking all day. She made 2 pumpkin pies and 4 pecan pies for 32 people. Fran (25 year old host sister), Dwayne (32 year old husband), Maria, and I went to Carindale to shop for ice cream cake ingredients and a costume for Bella (their 8 month old daughter). She ended up being a pudding with a cherry hat. We made the cake, people came over at 5:30. It was pouring rain. Matt Paufve dressed up as John Hall (our Australian terrestrial professor)!! He had the most perfect wig and get up - his imitations were spot on. Maria and I were park rangers. We all ate burgers and dessert, then people went home. Sunday was hard core studying for finals all day.
