Vancouver international
Day 1

After a not so enjoyable flight of 21 hours, 29 if you include layovers we arrived at Brisbane international airport, in balmy 28c weather, it was hot… way to hot. We met up with Kristen, Jackie’s sister and we were on our way to Mermaid beach where we would be spending the next 2 weeks. The day started of easy, relaxing. We all got bank accounts which was nice to take care of ASAP. Then went and touched the ocean. It was enjoyable for a first day, then we started to hit the pubs and it got out of hand. LOL. A good time was had by all that’s for sure. Did I mention everyone here is super friendly. Sean and I are now known as “Team Green” and as a group we are “THE Canadians” Around 8pm we end up cabbing it back to Kristen and Joel’s place for a BBQ of seafood, learned how to peel prawns and even had some lobster a.k.a bugs for future reference.

Day 2

was easy going, we are waking up at 6am, and heading straight to the beach, swimming was easy today, no rips, and smaller

waves. We then ended up back at the pub for a few drinks. We also went to the surf club for eats; an amazing plate of fish and chips was had.
