Long long night.

Last night I wasn't thinking I was going to go out because one of my friends was up at the Sunshine Coast visiting his girlfriend and gets back today, and my other friend had to work today, and couldn't stay out late which was understandable.

Well I eventually did go out after being harassed by some pushy Indian men because I was Indian, and they were freaking out b/c I didn't speak Hindu or know any of these Indian actresses or anything...weird I know, but yes, I walked around for AGES, had come back, got harassed, left, finally decided to go to the Down Under Bar, and luckily in front of me were some girls from the hostel who were going out as well and we ended up spending the whole time together. We went into the DUB around 11:30PM, and I finally got in around 4:30AM! It's now 10:15AM and I am beat.

While I was walking around, there were heaps of cool street performers, artists, and just really great live music going on. I saw a guy who painted with spray paint, but carved away some of the paint w/ some tool, and then put more paint on top; taking away the excess w/ newspaper, so it had a diff color underneath. It was awesome! There was a police band playing, a live ska music type group performing their version of Christmas songs which was nice and relaxing, Some salsa music going on, a Jazz Saxaphone player, and tons of people just wandering around.

-cut to late late night-
OH! That's not all, I was minding my own business, went to the bathroom to get ready for bed, I come out, and this guy who was saying he was from Finland all night, stops me, and tells me he's French. Starts speaking French to me, asking me if I like the French, and I'm standing there definitely ready to go to sleep, so I'm like, "yeah sure, I don't know that many French ppl...but whatev" - the whole time this dude is INVADING my personal bubble. Everytime he was asking me if I like the French he kept getting closer and closer like he was trying to kiss me and corner me...So I finally just said, "Look. It's 4:30AM. I'm tired. I'm going to bed. Goodnight French man." and left....

All in all it was quite an interesting night. Met some really random creepers at the Down Under Bar who don't know what "Stop dancing with me" means. Also I saw some people from Uni from when I was there!!! That was awesome. I saw this one R.A. and he was like, "I'm Chris again....even though we've met." Anyways, fun night, probably going out tonight w/ my friends I was originally planning on meeting up with.
