Well it’s been a few days since I have had anything to write (or truthfully been bothered). Apart from catching up with the other crazy family (Rebeccah and Anthony, Jack and Ivy) at Edith Falls we haven’t actually done much. We have however broken the dry season over here. I think we have had crappy weather or rain for nearly a week now (and don’t you Canberra people say anything), its getting rather annoying. Can’t do too much with Ethan if you don’t want to let him anywhere near the huge mud puddles (by the time you read this we may just have thrown him in ourselves….stay tuned for photo’s).

Anywho, we did spend 2 nights at Edith Falls and felt like locals because it was our second time there. We had some good laughs with Rebeccah and Anthony and Lily and Jack had some good fights (as most 3 year olds tend to do) and we all had a whine (and wine) and felt much better I think!!

We went on towards Timber Creek and stayed at Big Horse Creek Campground at Victoria River in Gregory National Park (wow that was a mouthful wasn’t it?). I am going to give an ‘oldies’ warning for language and for what I am about to write about some of the grey nomads we have encountered along the way and by gawd there are a lot of them at Big Horse………if you are in that generation please continue reading at your own risk, I make no apology and I know there are exceptions to the rules

G - Is for the grumpy bastards scattered all over Australia’s camp grounds

R - Is for the rude grey haired people who are everywhere to be found

E - Is for those early leavers (you know we over take you)

Y - Is for why is there so bloody many of you?

N - Is for the nice nanny’s who don’t mind little visitors

O - Is for ‘oh my gawd do you have to park so close?’

M - Is for the mad ones who don’t know how to smile

A - Is for the assholes who always run a mile

D - Is for the dorky signs on vans like ‘Jo and Flo on the go UHF Channel 18

S - Is for the serenity of off road camping spots

Everywhere you go there are caravans, motor homes etc with ‘spending our kid’s inheritance’ - we’d like to remind them that they may just be down grading their aged care facility………..

Anyway we have made it to Lake Argyle, WA so we are now 2 hours behind you all. I’m in desperate need of a happy hour conversation with some of my mates so look out people when we are next in range you should expect a phone call
