Hi Folks.
Well here we are in Kakadu.
First I must admit to not being a natural camper! I was all for giving back the campervan and going to a hotel on day 1; but here we are on day 3 and I am suprised to say I am starting to have fun.
The campsites are great and the people we have met and the facilities they offer are making our outback experience much more comfortable than I expected.
We are off to Cooinda in a few minutes. we are planning to stay there for 2 or 3 days and make it our base to do the yellow water cruise, bush walks, trips and maybe a safari with an Aboriginal guide. There is one trip which Richard is keen on that has you out with a Native for 7 hours gathering / catching your food culminating with a campfire cooking session and watching the sun go down. Not sure about that one myself, but we shall see.
Temperature here is 32 degrees during the day and about 25 at night.
Well have to go now. Mike and Richard are packing up the van for our move onto Cooinda.
Catch up with up soon, if the Crocs dont get us!
Anne 😊
