Day 52 (Thursday 11/06/09, NJJ)
Fully awake just after 8am. Saw a wild red kangaroo from the train window. Arrived in Alice Springs at 9.05am. It was cold out. Got the shuttle bus to our backpackers. We were able to check in early as there was availability. We were given a caravan for our stay. Walked into town - boring. Lunch at a food hall. Back to backpackers about 2pm. Jay had a sleep whilst I sat with my feet dipped in the pool for a bit, it was too cold to get in. We put our luggage into the lock up for few days. Cooked pasta and sauce for tea. Bed at 8.30pm because it was so cold in the caravan that we couldn't do anything other than cwtch up and go to sleep.
