We had a long drive from Canberra so decided to stop over for one night at Majors Creek which is a little country town (I think we met the entire town population!) between Canberra and the coast. The landscape we have seen so far has been stunning - so many little towns, creeks, rivers, mountains, forests, etc.

We set up camp in an old showground which suited us because we were able to pitch tent right next to a playground so the kids were kept busy while we could set up. We were so hot and bothered by the time we arrived so we went to the local watering hole (of the alcoholic variety, not the freshwater variety) to have a cold beer. All the locals were super friendly and the kids were happy with their chocolate milo ice cream.

We were happy to see our tent still standing when we returned for dinner (you just never know in these little country towns)...

Back on the road again and headed for the coast!
