Katoomba To Sydney( Friday)

Having made contact with Pauline and Eddie(I met them on a river cruise in Grafton and they invited me to stay with them whilst in Sydney)i headed to Sydney. They live some 13 klm's from the City centre.like all major cities approaching the city is a nightmare ,trying to get one's bearings and Sydney has terrible direction signs with very few street names .Eventually I arrived about 15-00 they have made me most welcome ,Pauline says I fit in like an old boot.I not sure about the old bit.Pauline is originanly from Newcastle and came to Australia on the 10 pound ticket some 35years ago and met Eddie almost immediately.
Eddie loves driving so it was a good break for me from driving, after settling in Eddie took me on a quick wis around the city and out to Bondi Beach,(45 degrees C the next day)Coogee Bay and onto Botany Bay (Captain Cook would turn in his grave re Botany Bay)
we then returned home and on Saturday chilled out

On the Sunday Eddie suggested we have a run out South of the City

The house in the distance is where Cook 1st landed When he took up residence here there was nothing. Now it's a massive Container depot ,thousands of Containers stacked up with all the ancillary equipment neccssary.A real eyesore .He would turn in his grave
