Charmaines Mums
CKs mum lives on the first floor apartment, on the water in Meadowbank. So in order to get my Visa changed from a Working Holiday to a Work Permit, I needed to leave the UK.
We decided to do 2 weeks in Sydney while the UK authorities did their part and then 2 weeks in NZ while the Kiwi's did their part.
We flew out of London on Emirates to Dubai for 2 hours, then Bangkok for 1 hour, and touched down in Sydney about 7am. Charmaines mum picked us up, got us cleaned up and then straight to Yum-Cha for brunch!
After lunch it was time for some shopping and then a quick stop to pick up 1kg of raw and 3kg of cooked prawns.
This was how we spent a lot of our time in Sydney: shopping, eating seafood and drinking wine! Great!!
It was my first time in Sydney and we tried to see a lot of the good stuff in the time we had.
I met CK's family for the first time, really nice; we went to Cronulla Beach, Bondi Beach and Watsons Bay; we bought new Tsubi Jeans; wandered through the Blue Mountains; went up the AMP Tower; saw my mate Monkey DJ in Kings Cross; saw the
Rolling Stones perform at the Olympic Stadium; ate in the revolving restaurant; visited Koala Park to see some native animals; ate lunch under the Sydney Harbour Bridge at the Rocks; saw the Opera House; rode the double decker tube and the River Cats.
Great place, nice people (for Aussies ;-p), and awesome weather!
