Had my worst day today, didn't really feel like doing anything so just walked to the opera house and through the botanical gardens.
Wasn't really feeling myself didn't really no what I'm doing with my travels after Sydney was feeling a bit torn about whether to go to Darwin with Alex or whether to go up the coast. I read in my book that it is the monsoon season in Darwin and lots of Mosquitos go there so think I'm leaning more towards going up the east coast. Spoke to an English girl called Natalie about it after watching movies in the lounge and made up my mind about the coast. This improved my mood because I had made a decision and ended up having the best night out....
We went to Hugo's and had $5 pizzas and $5 cocktails all night! Then at midnight we went to a gay club till the early hours of the morning, was really good fun!
Woke up the next day (Lizzie's birthday) feeling a little tired and hungover from our big night out! But Erin, Alex, and I went to a free outside pool in sydney central at around 8am and
this woke me up and we had a really nice breakfast at a cafe after which also helped!
With my decision to go up the east cosat confirmed in my head I decided to book the bus and finally start the real travel and adventures I came here for! Whilst in the travel shop I ended up booking Fraser Island and the whitsundays on an open dated ticket too! But at least it's all planned and paid for!!
We went to manly on the ferry to the beach as planned and it was lovely, I would actually say it is a nicer beach than bondi!
Back at the hostel we got ready to go to a bar called the sugar mill there was meant to be a pub quiz but we got back too late! After the sugar mill an Australian guy who has been staying at the blue parrot hostel for ages and ages got a blue parrot tattooed on his bum!!!
I also spoke to lizzie to wish her a happy 14th birthday :-)
The next day I had planned to go on a shopping trip with Vicky from the hostel she is
the cleaner there and works for her accommodation, Erin and Ryan (who I met at the parrot the day I arrived, however he left for Byron bay that night, but now he's back in Sydney for a job and I'm leaving for byron!) - I did end up buy a top and a cute pair of shorts oops! When we got back I had to pack my stuff to check out the next morning even though I wasn't catching the coach till late in the evening.
We all went out for my last night and Jason durulo (singer) was supposed to be at this club but we didn't see him! Had a really nice last night, the club had games on stage to win prizes and these were funny. The group had a dance off and one of the guys was a professional dancer, so because Im so competitive I pulled out my breakdancing move where I swing my leg round and everyone was so shocked that I ended the dance off -Yeah!
My last day in Sydney was really great, I checked out and put my bags in storage and then we all went out for a
breakfast together. We decided to go to Newtown for the day but took a detour past the opera house so that Alex could get a picture with his teddy koala someone gave him from home! Newtown was really nice it is becoming a modern place but is really hippie and they have a graffiti wall there which was really cool.
Afterwards we said goodbye to Alex as he had to catch his flight to Darwin then Ryan, Erin and Vicky walked me to the bus stop to wave goodbye to me and they were running after the bus as it left! Felt quite sad to be leaving such lovely friends behind.. But have Byron bay to look forward to....
