Hi eveyone!!

We have arrived in Sydney & it is freezing compaired to Cairns, yesterday it rained, hailstoned & only got up to about 16degrees c!!!!!! Today has been better though, about 21-22 degrees.

We walked to the Botanical Gardens & went to the art gallery, due to Zac having no cash we are doing all the free/cheep stuff first in the hope that he gets some cash later on!!!!!!!

I saw the Opara House & Harbour Bridge today & it was like looking @ a postcard, took lots of photos!! The art galllery was very good, can't belive it is compleatly free!!!!!!!! The botanical gardens (also compleatly free!!!!) were beautiful, really peacefull in the middle of such a busy city. We saw some huge friut bats hanging from the trees, apparently they are quite unusual as they have grey heads & are only found at that site in Sydney (see im learnig stuff!!).


Our hostel is a rambling old town house & we have the penthouse on the top floor, which sounds good but means we have to treck up 5 flights of stairs & share it with a drugged up looney, who wakes us up at various times of the night falling over stuff/farting/burping/snoring etc. & then he lays in bed all day snoring/farting/burping & he's bloody english, typical!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zac is feeling a little bit down due to lack of money & the shock of leaving peaceful Cairns for a busy highrise city! I can understand how he feels but am trying to be optermistic & if we plan to do something every day we should only need to go back to the hostel to eat & sleep @ night,

anyway, we are both ok, if a little homesick for cairns & family/ friends,
