Day 51 continued..
After saying our goodbyes to everyone at the backpackers inn we set off to the little hippy village of Nimbin in the hinterlands. The bus took two hours, stopping at a great lookout point and giving us local knowledge of Nimbim and nearby Lismore. We see Mt Warning and lots of macademia trees. The driver gives us a lift to our YHA at the rox. It is definately off the beaten track and in the bush. Gorgeous hippy YHA we have our own room its all done in purple and flowers with french doors out to what could be our own big comfy sofa outside. They have a pool, and hammocks and a cool bar area with a pool table and lights up with fairy lights at night. We go into the town which is like amsterdam except weed is obviously illegal, but it has the feel of the dam with its free the weed posters and a hash museum. We wander around the museaum and have dinner. After we just hang around the hostel admiring the gorgeous views then early night.

Day 52
Get up super early and do some sunbathing. Go down to the village for lunch and wander through an art gallery displaying local artists work. More sunbathing then watched films at night. Its a tough life.

Day 53
Had a bit of an issue with leaving our washing out over night - it was raining pretty hard when we got up -typical. So the lady ran us down to the laundrette and back! Then we got our bus back to Byron passing more gorgeous scenery and a few banana plantations. Waiting a lifetime on the greyhound bus to take us to Surfers Paradise
