Edit Blog Post
Thanks to some of my fans, I got feedback on my last blog and decided that due to privacy policies and the internet nowadays I will now be referring to my 2y.o. as my 'little beast' and my 6 y.o as my 'bigger beast'. Although a little reverse because let me tell you two is
TERRIBLE.
But, if anybody else has constructive criticism I'd love to hear it! (Thanks dad for correcting my spelling error in my 1st sentence of my 1st ever blog! - I haven't changed it because I think it creates little
personality and
character 😉 )
It has been pretty hectic in my household lately. Last week, little beast got sick and of course it spread through the whole house. Bigger beast was home three days from school, which means I get both girls 12 hours straight. Rough. Not to mention Jordan and I went to a Matilda game (girls soccer) Tuesday night and led to a rough morning on Wednesday. PSA Australia doesn't put their hand on the heart or take their hats off for the national anthem, and I may be biased but the American national anthem is a lot cooler.
It was such a fun game, they played Brazil and it was nuts! I forgot how fun it is to watch girls soccer. A lot less crying than boys 😊
Tuesday and Wednesday consisted of lots and lots of movies. I showed the bigger beast the movie Matilda, she loved it.
I know last blog I told you about us destroying the beasts' room because we saw a cockroach and we never found it blah blah to be continued......
The very next day I see out of the corner of my eye THAT LITTLE BUGGER (keeping it rated G). in. my. room. crawling right toward me. Pic included.
Friday, my aupair friends and I went out for my Oregon friend, Bri, goodbye brunch. It was the most perfect day about 80 degrees and perfectly sunny. After, I watched the little beast for a little while my host dad ran to get some shopping done for my bigger beats 6th birthday on Saturday. After he got home, I had to run and get a present. I have never shopped for a little girl before and I was so excited! I bring Jordan with me
who was like a little kid in a candy store. He touched and played with every toy and I'm pretty sure he added some Lego collection to his christmas list.
Note to self: Don't expect to bring a 23 year old to the toy section without lots of fart toys.
It took me a long time to pick it out because it was so fun! I wanted to get everything. And I think I owe the bigger beast a good present after making her bawl because I told her I forgot it was her birthday and forgot I needed to buy her a present. Whoops. But I got the best Lego ever!!!! It is a chairlift and a skier and snowboarder, and a terrain park and everything. As I told you before, she just saw snow for the first time two weeks ago and LOVED it. I also included a fidget spinner. I sleep with Gabby's fidget spinner and the girls come to wake me up in the morning and always play with mine- my #1 rule is it can't leave my bed so it traps them to come cuddle with me for a few minutes 😊.
Saturday was the 6th birthday! We woke up super early (as always) and watched some tv, opened some gifts, had a playdate, saw Captain Underpants, had cake and played Lego the whole rest of the day. I feel like birthday #6 is the first birthday you remember, so we had to do it up.
Tomorrow (Sunday) we are headed up to my host families farm. They own about 20 cattle and a large chunk of land. I will have no cell service or internet so that's why I'm getting this blog done tonight! We have to leave at 4am so that the little beast doesn't spew all over the car (oh, don't you miss those days mom and dad). I will be back in civilization Tuesday.
I believe the next two weeks are gonna be a lot of working. My host mom has her big exam next weekend, so lots of studying for her. Also, bigger beast has her school holiday the next two weeks so I get two beasts everyday! 😊
Hope is all across the pond. Missing everyone so much.
Be back in December
Pseudo Momma
