Byron Bay was good, but it has the same vibes as every other beach town. People seem to get stuck here though as they like the life and the laid back atmosphere. I spent 4 days trying to get a sun tan, but I have failed, try to keep working on it in New Zealand. The hostel I stayed in was pretty cool. It was called Backpackers Inn and it had a really good vibe in the evening, people drinking. Most drinking the usual goon, after one box in Melbourne i've decided to stay on the beer or cider (not that different to the price of beer), being the more mature man that I am. The hostel was also 20 seconds to the beach that was awesome and their was a beach volleyball court and I tried to teach them how to play 3 touch volleyball, but they just didn't get it and ended up playing beach tennis. Went out once, i did try another night, but it was 10 dollars to get in (worse than Manchester), but Byron is a nice place and I'd reccommend to anyone to go and visit.
