81 days to go.

I managed to find a way to get 2 extra flights in. Donna will thank me for that because she LOVES take off and landing, especially in small planes.

Why fly direct from Moruya to Sydney, thus having to wait for 6 hours or so for our international connection, when there is another way? Moruya to Merimbula (south) then back (north) to Sydney! Totally illogical.

But it brings the total number of take-offs to (I think) 17. Hopefully there will be the same number of landings.

If there is not I am sure you will hear.



Gotta go - time to pack.

Shoes to outrun a polar bear
Which would you suggest? The official advice if a polar bear approaches is to lie down and play dead. UNTIL it starts biting you at which point I would suggest all bets are off.

Footwear for Bear Hunts
For such an adventure, I would recommend a lightweight, fur-lined, hiking boot with plenty of grip to make a quick getaway.
