Blog Day 1042


Hi All,

I just had to tell you our news, this is probably the biggest news we have had to date, other than when we were originally been granted our Permanent Residency Visa.

Yesterday, we went and had a meeting with the Department of Immigration, basically it was a “Dummy Run” on all our paper work for our Citizenship application, and it all went swimmingly well.

Now, it is the final waiting game before we submit our documentation, I can submit mine on 12/11/2011 and Caroline can submit on 29/11/2011, Caroline’s is later because she went back to the UK for 2 ½ weeks last year.

We were actually interviewed by the lady that organises the citizenship ceremonies and we have asked if we are able to have our Ceremony on Australia Day (26th January 2012) which is just a formality, and all things being equal we may be able to attend this date, if all the paper wok is processed in time hence the reason for our meeting yesterday.

All I can ask for at this moment, is you keep this date “Free” in your diary, because hopefully big celebrations are on the Horizon.

We would love to have as many of “Our Friends” be with us, so stay tuned, we are on top of it.
