We assume that since it is so cheap to travel to the US, and France has the month of August off, they are all vacationing in the US. If you notice the tree growing out of the top of the hoodoo to the right, this was due to birds hiding seeds for the winter. Inevitably, they don't find them all again, and some grow into trees.

A really awesome hole in a hoodoo that is shaped like an arrowhead, through which you can see the mountains in the distance.

The path down the Navajo Loop trail. It zigzags back and forth all the way to the bottom; about a 500 foot vertical descent.

A great big dripping hoodoo. It reminded us of La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona (which is a church that has the same dripping look on its exterior).

Known as bridges, strips of harder, more erosion-resistant rock can be found in canyons between hoodoos. These bridges form when rushing water erodes the softer sandstone around them, leaving only the hard rock behind to span the chasm.
