San Antonio - what a delightful city. We visited the Alamo and the River Walk. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow a lot of sight seeing, but we did do some. The real reason for the visit to SA was to meet with an old friend from Kansas City, KS who winters in SA. Tom and I were together in Vietnam.

A good way to see downtown SA is to take a horse drawn carriage. Lots of fun.

A must see is the Alamo located in central downtown. It has many historic exhibits and is almost sacred to texans.

Across the street from the Alamo is the River walk. A must see and visit when in SA. This picture shows some of the RW looking down from the street level.

A must do is to ride on a tour boat on the RW. The operator gives you a running narrative of the history of the RW and the various structures along the river.

All along the river you see the various ducks, the real inhabitants of the RW.

Along the riverwalk is a large mural. Can't remember the artist.
