This facility is hard to beat. There is even a veterinarian service on base, with prices that can't be beat, including pet chipping. For one of the most complete and informative ways to see San Antonio we suggest you start by parking in the gated self-parking lot ($6.00) at the base of The Tower of the Americas. You can then begin your tour by riding the elevator to the top of the tower for a breathtaking view of the entire San Antonio area. There is also a special 4-D theater there in The Tower and a restaurant. Next, via a short walk through the grounds of the Convention Center and you'll be on the River Walk. A short walk there will take you to the Rivercenter Mall where you can listen to outdoor entertainment, have lunch at the food court, and or view an IMAX movie about the Alamo "The Price of Freedom". The Alamo itself is about 200 feet away, so you can tour the Alamo and other nearby attractions such as Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. Upon your return to the River Walk, you can opt to take the a guided boat tour of the River Walk,
