Still Hermine??Still Hermine??Still Hermine??

Or just a September storm in south Texas...
7-9-10: The air conditioner is still leaking a bit, so we’re going to bite the bullet and head for Camping World just outside Houston for repairs. Boy is Texas FLAT in this coastal area...sometimes you think you could see to Washington AND New York City!!! Saw a lot of refineries along the coastline...you’d think fuel would be cheapest here as anywhere, but not so much...running about $2.79 for diesel here. Made it to CW by about 3pm, and I think we were still chasing Hermine, ‘cause there was a big thunder storm!! Looked bad, but other than a couple of small showers, not much to it. We had asked if we could get in for service this afternoon, but no luck...they DO have water and electric hookups (and since there was an RV dump at the McDonalds we stopped at for lunch...I KNOW, huh!!! But it WAS part of a truck-stop...) so we’re good for another little while!! Our plan is to head for Galveston once they’ve fixed us up in the morning...good thing we’ve been saving camping $$ along the way, ‘cause it doesn’t look promising for any cheap stays there!! And, sounds like the mosquitos are alive and well, so we’ll see how long our stay is on the island...will keep you posted 😊
