Day 28

Today started out by installing the radiator I repaired last night. I thought it best to let the J B Weld set over night. The J B Weld has done the job as the radiator did not leak today. I guess I'll have to slow down to 40-45 mph, the day the leak started Mae said, "you're driving 55 mph down hill", it didn't seem like we were going that fast. We left Haskell, TX. at 9:05 am and arrived at our motel in Granbury, TX. at 7:30 pm. Our highlight of the day was seeing our former pastor and his family, The Christman's. We stopped to see see them in Justin, Texas. We ate at Chicken Express across from our motel. Today mileage was 221 miles. Our Wi-Fi stopped working last night so we stopped at a McDonalds in Jacksboro today to finish last night's blog. After cooling off in McD's, we came outside to 102 degrees, phew!!! Boy the days are passing by fast, only one more week and what seemed to be a long vacation will be over. Lost one of the McLaren brass hub caps today, the

right rear, it was on this morning when we left because I polished it. The Old Tin Lizzie is performing way beyond my expectation, the biggest problem has been the radiator leaks, the metal washer and the two nylon washers I put on fan bolt to take up the fan end play are also holding up. I have only made an adjustment to the low gear pedal of one half turn.

What a trip!
Thanks again for sharing your adventure via the web. Very exciting reading about your trip viewing the great pictures and the obstacles you encountered. Got concerned about developing a mis but sounds like it resolved itself after refueling. Hope the E-Timer continues to perform to you expectation. Hope you didn't tell Jay you were running one, he is not a fan :-)

What a trip
Mike, Not sure if I told Jay I am using the E-Timer. The E-Timer has preformed flawlessly, I have not touched it once on this trip, very good product. The misses in the car, I believe is water in the gas, sometimes it gets so bad it almost stops then clears up, it seems to happen when fuel is low. This morning I will drain the sediment drain. Glad you like following out trip. Jacque & Maei
