Rivers and Spires Festival, Inc. was awarded the International Festivals & Events Association’s Gold Grand Pinnacle last week at the 52nd annual IFEA convention and expo. This prestigious award sponsored by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance represents the top honor in the festival industry. The professional competition drew 1,506 entries this year from among the world’s top festivals and events. Rivers and Spires Festival also won a Tennessee Tourism Spotlight Award during the 2007 Governor’s Conference on Tourism held on September 19-21 in Chattanooga. Spotlight Awards are coordinated through the Tennessee Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus and honor great ideas and concepts in the tourism industry
