Yesterday, I packed my school bag in a hurried fashion. Books? Check. Writing utensils? Check. Coat? No check. You see, I am notorious for rebelling against the coat until the weather becomes unbearably cold. As it turns out, in Clarksville, the first day of cold weather was unbearable. We jumped immediately from summer temperatures to winter temperatures. I hate it. The good thing about this town is that there are so many refreshing places to go when you simply want to escape the cold. Are you looking for something to do this weekend in Clarksville? Well, at the surface level, this weekend doesn’t present as many opportunities as the last, but there is, in fact, just as much to do! First, the Miss Tennessee USA/ Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants will be held at Austin Peay State University starts on Friday (October 5) through Saturday (October 6). This pageant delegates ages 15-26 across the state, all of which compete in various categories such as interviews, swimsuit, and evening wear. The pageant will be held in the Music & Mass Communication Theatre. For more inform [View Full Entry]

Jazz on the Lawn

As the warm summer days depart from us, we cling to those last few days where we can enjoy the warmth of the great outdoors. Personally, this is the time of year where I prefer every event to be held outside than inside. I wake up every morning wondering as I open the door to the world if it will be that day. You know, the one that leaves the first frost on your windshield? Fortunately, summer seems to be clinging more to us than we are to it. That’s why this weekend you can relive the summer by joining [View Full Entry]
