Metropolitan Museum of Art
Metropolitan Museum of Art It is very hot and humid, especially in the subways. The trains are airconditioned, so all the hot air from the train air condition is released into the tunnels making the air in the stations even warmer than outside. So, the temperature difference between the train and the station is just high enough to get quite a temperature shock when entering or exiting the train.
Outside the subways, every closed space is stronly airconditioned. Passing by a shop while the doors are opening, you can feel the cold breeze comming out of the shop.
However, the City attractions make it up for the tiring weather. My personal favourite is the
Metropolitan Museum of Art. Especially the Egyptian collection with the whole ancient Egyptian temple on display. And the temporary bamboo installation on the roof terrace. Check out the pictures.
