1st 'Proper' day in NYC

Tim: What a glorious day today has been. Started off with the intention of going to statue of libery and GZ. Ended up in Wall Street then onto the sea front by Brooklyn Bridge and Manhatten Bridge which was cool. We then made our way up Manhatten East until 23rd street where we took a left onto 23rd street. Made our way to Union Square where I attaracted the attention of some weirdo! No change there then. We mooched around Manhattan and get some lunch in Subway where amazingly Tom had never eaten before! 😊

We took a walk up the Empire State Building. Which gave us amazing views of the city. The weather was fantastic all day so we both managed to catch the sun (somehow Tom could more sun than me despite me being the more ginger of the two of us). The view from the top of the ESB was over 10 miles and we could see all the way around manhatten into Broyklyn, Queens, Jamaica and New Jersey.

Managed to find an Irish Bar and caught the end of the liverpool vs chelsea game. Wesson: haha! Soz. Going back tommorow for the Man U game. Now back at the hostel, drinking beer and planning the next few stages of the trip.

Tom: It is all cool 😊 that will do.
