Nice driving today! Lots of mountains and great views. Once again we were in the middle of nowhere but beautiful. After crossing El Paso it was very difficult to find a radio station only in english. Not that it really matters, but just like in portuguese and english some types of music are just too much for Terry's and mine taste. The kids are doing great for the amount of driving they are enduring, but at night, they just want to play, jump, be loud and all the stuff they are supposed to be doing during the day but they can't. We can't complain. They like the trip so far. Lucas is usually busy with his electronics and is enjoying the trip as well.
The car is doing great, so we decided not to push it and we canceled the Grand Canyon trip for now. It would be too far and too hilly. The trailer is pretty heavy already, I guess we don't really need to play against ourselves few days before Xmas, right?
We stopped for lunch at the Rock hound State Park (http://www.newmexico.org/explore/state_parks/rockhound.php) and that was wonderful. Beautiful mountains. Some of them have snow on the tip and
that made it perfect winter scenario. Once again we decided to stop for the night a little earlier, just in case. Lordsburg city is absolute a ghost town. Nothing to see nothing to do... but it is about 10 miles from Arizona and that makes it good enough.
O caminho foi lindo hoje. Muitas montanhas e lindos cenarios. Mais uma vez estavamos no meio do nada mas muito bonito. Depois de passar por El passo, foi dificil encontrar uma estacao de radio que so tinha musicas em ingles. Nao que isso realmente , mas tem certos tipo de musicas que nao da pra tolerar!!! As criancas estao se saindo muito bem pelo tanto de tempo que eles que ficar dentro do carro. Porem, a noite, eles estam eletricos. So querem brincar, pular, gritar e fazer tudo aquilo que nao fizeram durante o dia porque nao puderam. Nao podemos reclamar. Eles estao gostando da viagem ate agora. Lucas esta, na maioria do tempo, brincando com as dezenas de eletronicos que ele tem and esta gostando da viagem.
O carro esta otimo, mas decidimos nao forcar a barra e cancelamos a nossa viagem para o Grand Canyon por agora. Gran
Canyon eh muito longe e o caminho eh montanhoso. O trailer ja esta bem pesado e acho que nao precisamos brincar contra nossa propria sorte alguns dias antes do Natal, neh?
Nos paramos pra almocar em um Parque Estadual chamado Rock Hound State Park (Rock Hound State Park) e foi otimo. Linas montanhas. Algumas delas tinha neve na ponta o que as fez um cenario perfeito de inverno. Mais uma vez paramos para pernoitar em um hotel cedo, so por precaucao. A cidade de Lordsburg eh uma cidade fantasma. Nao tem nada pra ver e nada pra fazer... mas esta mais ou menos umas 10 milhas do Arizona e isso eh otimo.
