Day 40

We left the hotel at 9:00 and got breakfast, it was so nice to get a decent cup of coffee and a bagel that was not from camp!!! We also went to WalMart and got snacky food for the beach, I got strawberries, grapes, chips and Milano cookies….we had so much food for the afternoon! We then had to drive 2 ½ hours to get to Maine and we rolled in at 2pm, it was a really hot day and the water felt aMaZiNg!!! It was nice to just lounge and read and catch up with people. We left the beach around 6pm and roamed around the town of York and then stopped at Barnacle Billy’s for supper where I had Homemade Clam Chowder for the first time! It was sooo good and what better place to have Clam Chowder then in New England!!! Our drive back was really fast! It started to pour rain but we made it back by 11:30…it was nice to get to bed early!
