Wednesday 11th of July This morning I awoke with the sun beaming down on my face through a dirt splattered windows of the greyhound bus. My jaw and teeth were aching from the awkward positions I had been sleeping in. My stomach was rumbling and my body constricted as for the passed 36 hours I had not been able to stretch out on the bus. We could see in the distance the drunken oasis of sin that was Las Vegas and there wasn't far to go. When we arrived at the station in Las Vegas we walked out to see some of the downtown area a part of the city we probably wouldn't go back to and see as it is to far away. This is the part where you see the old lights of the kicking cowboy and the dancing girls it was around hear where the first great casinos and hotels began. I thoroughly enjoyed this small piece of history and culture, Michael as usual was in a grumpy old man mood, hungry tired and illness was looming. He again sore something that he would possibly never see again and it was brushed to one side like he sore it every day when he opened his curtains to his garden. I know he says I am over enthusiastic about sight seeing but he exaggerates so much I don't take pictures of every little squirrel or tree. I just have more of and appreciation for my surroundings. From here we walked to the stratosphere, it was a good half an hour walk. The sun was slowly rising in the mountains in the distance, but it was still hot and it was only 7am and was only going to get hotter. I was happy to walk, it was going to take another 45 mins or so to get to the hotel but Michael put his foot down. We got a taxi to the hotel. To be fair it only took us five minutes and it was only $2.50 each. But out of principle I would've preferred to walk. When we arrived at our hotel I was blown away at how vast it actually was. I couldn't believe that we would only be paying $27 each. Of course the hotel only thought it would be Michael, Joe and myself staying there. But the hotel was so big and the casino took up most of the ground floor, reception would never notice who was going in and out. After staying in hostels for so long and so many of the rubbish hotels when we arrived at our room we where all overwhelmed with as sense of joy. Unfortunately we received the news over Facebook that Joe had missed his connecting flight. This now meant he wouldn't get into Las Vegas until six maybe eight o'clock at night, and we will have wanted to start drinking by then. We decided when he arrived he would have a few shots to catch up. By now it was 10 o'clock in the morning and everyone else seemed to be extremely tired. So when they all went to bed I decided to check out our free fitness centre in the hotel. By now I was feeling very unfit and very unhealthy, it was about time did something, if just to start feeling better about myself. Because I'm a fatty. After the gym I came back to find the lads just about awake and we all headed down to the pool. It was mega hot after only 20 minutes on the sun bed we all felt like we were melting. The hotels pools were amazing it had its own lazy river, wave machine, jacuzzi, and obviously a standard pool even a volleyball court the only thing it didn't have was a area to dive. We spent a good few hours round the pool until it was time to get ready to go on our first night out. We got down to our casino sat on the one cent slots and as soon as we saw a drinks lady walk past we hollered her down. We found that the cheapest way to drink is to order the most alcoholic drink just tip the lady a dollar each chat her up and she normally came back fairly quickly. After we got a good buzz on while waiting for joe and he arrived safely half way through drinking. He got quickly ready had a good skinful and we set off to walk down the strip to see what we could find. We ended up walking passed a bar called rock bar. It had a sign outside saying $10 free drinks all night to students. Well we all had no student I'd on us but we were going to try and blag it anyway. Initially the bouncer on the door was having none of it. Karl the told him we don't get student ID's in England. Then on the bottom corner of his drivers licence he sore a triangle, we all had drivers licences and the triangle was on all of them. Karl said to the bouncer we get one of these on our licence if we are students. The guy went away and came back and said "you know what lads we would prefer you in rather that out" and as I was walking in I heard the bouncers talking and one said to the other "to be honest I can't say their not telling the truth because I just don't know." Awesome work boys all we can drink in vegas for $10. We were dancing round being stupid and having a laugh. Then behind me I noticed a piece of paper on the floor it looked like a $20 bill so I quickly walked over and stood on it and shuffled it back to the group. When I lifted my foot it wasn't $20 but it was$50!!!! We decided to split it between us meeting we got in there for free and we were having free drinks all night. At about the halfway period of out night we were hammered. Karl was constantly picking up a small Chinese lady proclaiming we had found chow, and we should take her with us for good luck. Steve was plastered making some great shapes and sounds. Michael and Joe were both happily trollied chatting rubbish to two strangers from Birmingham. A little later in the night I went to the toilet and came back only to find three familiar faces appear. They were girls that we met and were talking to for ages in Miami. Two were from England and one was Australian and my memory of them was they were good fun and always up for a laugh. I spent a good few hours talking to the all reminiscing and talking to them about their travels. When I realised that Karl and Steve had disappeared. They probably went back to the room. We all decided to leave and check out the Belagio fountains. Turns out it was to late and the fountains had stopped there was literally know one around so the girls decided it was to boring and hot so they were going for a swim. At which point fully clothed they one by one got into the water to swim. Meanwhile Michael and Joe decided they both needed the toilet and stood up against the wall pretending to look across the water while weeing into it. Unfortunately as Michael is chief editor for the blog so this may not get in so his parents can learn the truth of his antics and he isn't as innocent as he proclaims. I could just imagine mystified little children watching in the day as the fountains put on their display. Little did they know it was tainted with my friends urine as the mist sprayed into their face. Hope their mouths were shut. When the girls finally got out it was time to go back as they needed to get changed. Turns out they were staying in the same hotel as us too. I went with them to there room as while we were walking back talking to them Michael and joe went to find food. On arrival to there room we were laughing and joking and being in a jovial mood the girls asked me to put on some cloths for them and take pictures for their friends back home. To be honest I kind of craved the attention so it did it. Anyway Michael and Joe came in at kind of an awkward moment, they took one look turned around and walked away. However my night was still know where near over. I got changed as did the girls and we headed back out onto the strip. We were taking silly pictures we were having a great time without all the losers who had gone to bed. We eventually ended up back at the Belagio however this time we went inside. The girls wanted to gamble but obviously not with there own money they taught me a valuable lesson. By flirting with someone who is gambling you could get the thrill of gambling with there money. Eventually there were two guys that seemed very interested in them. These gentlemen took us first to blackjack to watch them loose their money. They were supplying us with even more alcohol. I was tired and was almost sleeping at the table. So they got me a coffee or two. It was like Christmas in a cup it was so nice and it was free. After blackjack came craps both men threw $2000 on the table to be changed into chips. I could believe my eyes. They then asked the girls to roll the dice for them while still supplying them with drinks. I watched bemused as roll by roll the girls loose the men's money until it was all gone. If I had lost that much money I would be curled up in a ball on the floor in tears or trying to murder the girls that lost my money. But these guys just invited us up to there room. Initially I thought they meant the two girls they had been hitting on but they meant all of us. As we went up floor by floor I had no idea what to expect. When we finally got to their room and opened the door it was a suite overlooking the fountains and the strip it was incredible. There was a lounge, a kitchen, a bar, bedrooms their toilets were nicer than my lounge at home. Me and the girl that wasn't trying to cop off with one of the rich guys went mental with the camera we were photographing everything until we could take any more pictures. We even sat in the bathroom watching tv for a good 30 minutes. The sun started to rise over Las Vegas while we were up in there suite. This was all well and good up to the point the mood of the room got a bit sensual. The other girl and I decided it was time to go back to our hotel I ended up chatting the night away with her and slept with a whole bed to myself in my room. Turns out this was the best place I could have stayed that night as Michael will undoubtably tell you what happened to the rest of them. Lastly upon question it turns out the men the other to girls were "with" were actors.
