This morning we woke up, got ready and met Selina & Ash downstairs in a café for breakfast. This wasn’t just any café, it served one of the best breakfasts, I’d ever eaten, beautiful fried eggs with spicy chorizo and small lemon cake thing which was amazing. But before I get too carried away on breakfast, today we had the whole day to explore this awesome city they called Vegas. We walked down past the Venetian Hotel & Casino when we decided to buy tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in a few days time. We saw it when we were last here in Vegas and it was amazing so both Hannah and I had no issues seeing it again. We continued our way down the strip and decided to have a quick look inside Caesar’s Place, one of the biggest casinos on the strip. It was an impressive place, we had a few tries on the poker machines without any luck when Selina decided that she wanted to spend the afternoon shopping. We were in Vegas, tons of things to see and do, I didn’t really want to spend all day inside the shopping mall so we split up

and Hannah and I decided to continue exploring the strip.

We made our way to the Paris Hotel & Casino and we thought we’d take the lift up to the top of the Eiffel Tower to get some awesome views across Vegas. We paid the entrance fee and joined the back of the queue to get the lift to the top. It was surprising how similar the ride to the top was to the real thing in Paris, only smaller. When we reached the top we weren’t disappointed, the views of the strip were fantastic but man was it hot up here in the open. We worked our way around the top taking lots of photos of the incredible views up here. You could still hear the massive blasts of water being shot up into the air from the Bellagio Fountains, it was awesome. I could have stayed up here for ages but it was just so hot up here that we decided to head down and get an ice cold drink. Afterwards we headed inside Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino and tried our luck at Blackjack. What started off as $100 very quickly became $0 as I lost

almost every hand and became more and more frustrated at my lack of luck since arriving in Vegas, we left the casino pretty quickly after that. We spend the next hour or so wandering around the mall, Hannah was wanting to buy some decent shoes for going out so she eventually found some then we headed back out to the strip.

It was late afternoon by this stage and we agreed to meet Selina and Ash back at the hotel for around 4PM. We stopped off to watch the Bellagio fountains one last time and I got some great photos on the amazing show. We slowly made our way back to the Wynn and collapsed in a heap in our room, we were exhausted. Hannah phoned Selina and Ash’s room but had no answer, they mustn’t be back just yet so we decided to have a rest. We ended up falling asleep for about 2 hours before we eventually heard from Selina and Ash who just returned to the hotel, hours after we agreed to meet. We were going to get ourselves ready and meet up in an hour or so for a night out in Vegas. Once we

were all ready to hit the town we walked down the strip to find somewhere to eat, again it was pitch black outside but still boiling hot. We stopped to watch the Mirage volcano erupt then continued down the strip until we reached Paris. We decided to eat at the French restaurant located right on the strip and after a 30min wait scored a table right out the front, directly opposite the Bellagio fountains, it was great. I was at first a little reluctant about this place but it turned out to be amazing food, most of us had steak and frites which was some of the best I’ve had, it was delicious.

After dinner we walked to the entrance of Paris and caught a cab to the Old Strip located on Fremont Street, not too far from the centre of Vegas. Here was a much cheesier version of Vegas which had a massive led canopy covering the entire street. Every 30 mins or so the street lights went out, the music got louder and an incredible visual display would light up Fremont Street. When we arrived it was about to begin, we grabbed a cheap drink as the

show started, tonight it was all about KISS. It was good although I remember it being better last time I came here. We decided to explore some of the cheesy casinos and found one that did $5 Blackjack, so we withdrew some cash and we found a table where all four of us could play. We were there for quite some time but again Hannah and I ended up losing another $100, while Selina & Ash managed to come out even. Lucky I was prepared to lose some money as long as we were having fun, because otherwise I’d be a wreck. Afterwards we jumped into a cab and got dropped off at Caesar’s Palace, we wanted to try get some desert from Serendipity. But once we arrived it was closed, I admit it was about 1AM in the morning at this stage but even still, I expected any restaurants on the strip would be open for most of the night. So we walked back to our hotel headed up to our room and shortly after fell asleep.
