Las Vegas
Stunning view of the Belagio Fountain at night. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! It’s my 27th birthday today, what better place to spend it in than Las Vegas. We again had breakfast in that amazing café downstairs, remember the one I mentioned yesterday?! Selina & Ash were keen on spending most of the day by the pool, but as usual I really wanted to be out on the strip while we had the opportunity. So Hannah and I decided that today we would walk in the opposite direction to where we usually go, see what’s around. Unfortunately there really was nothing there, so after a while we took one of the backstreets (past the Korean restaurant we went to last time) and took the monorail all the way to the final stop. Slowly Hannah and I were coming around to the idea of sitting by the pool relaxing all day, so we stayed on the monorail and got off at Bally’s Casino. Today, being my birthday surely meant I could not lose in a casino, I withdrew another $100, headed to a Blackjack table and ended up doing quite well, finally some luck. I cashed in the money as we headed back onto the strip and walked our way back to the

Beautiful view of the Venetian and Treasure Island in the background. Wynn.
It was so hot outside today, easily going on 42-43C. We went to our room and got changed into our swimming gear then headed downstairs to the pool area. We had a look for Selina and Ash but couldn’t find them anywhere so, we grabbed some deck chairs and got comfortable. For the rest of the day we did very little besides sunbathe, have a swim and order loads of food and plenty of cocktails. We lay here for most of the afternoon until a text message from Selina said they were at the Encore pool, in the sister hotel of the Wynn and they’d meet us shortly. Eventually Hannah and I headed back upstairs to our room for a rest and soon enough we spoke to Selina and would meet in another hour or so. Tonight we had tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Hotel & Casino, so we all got ready for another great night. It was already quite late so we didn’t have enough time to get dinner, we met downstairs and headed straight to The Venetian.
We grabbed a drink before getting our seats in this incredible theatre and

View of Las Vegas at night from the Eiffel Tower were all exciting for a fantastic show. The lights went down and the show began, the amazing opening of the show had pieces of chandelier fly around the theatre before slowly coming together in the centre. However, would you believe it, how can it possibly happen in two shows in Vegas in the same week, the pieces got tangled and due to obvious technical difficulties, the show was stopped, it was unbelievable. It took almost 30 minutes before the show started again, in fact the pieces were so tangled that people in the front few row had to get up so they could untangle it by hand. Why they didn’t kick everyone out and just start the whole thing again, I have no idea. But the show went on, and it was as amazing as always, apart from the holdup at the start. BY now we were all pretty hungry, we headed down the strip to find a nice restaurant, we again tried for Serendipity but it was again closed, it was 11PM, that’s ridiculous.
So we kept walking and entered the Bellagio, restaurants were already closing I couldn’t believe it. We asked a security guard who pointed us in the direction of the Bellagio Café, it was open, it was now midnight and finally we have found a restaurant that was open. All four of us sat down and stuffed ourselves with food and refillable soft drinks. After a well deserved dinner we headed to casino inside Bellagio and played some Blackjack & Roulette and again I left the table up. We cashed in and made the long walk back to the hotel and fell asleep.
