Missoula to Deadman Creek

Time had come to get back on the Great Divide Trail and head south before the snow comes to the high passes! Left on a beautiful day. I love the Blackfoot River Valley. Then up to the Seeley-Swan Area before a great find a Coopers Lake. Awesome hidden gem at the south end of the Scapegoat Wilderness, I believe. Finally, a brief fuel stop in Lincoln, MT, made famous as the hideout of the uni-bomber. Then up to the top of the divide to an awesome fire tower and some unbelievable balds!!! Headed south on the trail with heavy winds coming from the West. Camped on some ranch land near a creek just north of Helena.
