Sweet pea from New York So that mission that I spoke of in Cincinatti was quite disenchanting. We went to about 8 bars and finally settled at a Hamburger Mary's. We had a few drinks and met some people from New York. Fabulous. The eight bar journey was hilarious. We would walk in, walk it through once (sometimes there wasn't much to walk through), and then leave. Six out of seven times we were stared at the ENTIRE time we were there. Hamburger Mary's was quaint and low key. Whatevs.
So the shows. I can't really think right now and I don't want to go to the car to get the list of shows to spark my memory. I do remember a touching moment with a little boy who was enthralled by me and hugged me for so long. That stuff is touching. I am beginning to hate the moment in the show when I change shows and every child is telling me to click my heels together. They don't realize that they can tell me things sometimes and not give the show away. Oh shoot me. well on to the weekend....
We decided to go back to Ann Arbor for the weekend because
Jesus?
Somewhere... it was on the way to Saginaw (the monday show), and Markuz talked about Necto, a great bar. So we were on the way. We had received out final packet......the last three weeks.....and boy is it a doozy. WE have 9-10 shows each week, and a poop-packet of driving. Therefore , I porbably wont have too much to write about. We even have two long weekends of driving. One 26 hor drive on the last weekend! WE also have 4 days off next weekend for easter. What to do? Anywho.... we went to Ann Arbor and got prepped, bought beer and Tequila Rose.MMMMM. WE had gone to the mall after the show and some new store (Steve and Barry's) is kind of like a cheap Old Navy had a huge sale. Everything was $6.98. SO I had to buy some cheap ass jeans, because I had created something with the others. That something being a kick ass skirt. I even got a Bob Marley patch and....oh you just have to see it. Well, off to the Necto.
Fun times. We got there a little early about 1015 to get a feel for the place. It was normally a straight
The Rose
My date.....HOT bar, but gay on fridays. The music in the Red Room was fantastic. I got the DJ to play the IF song by Janet for Markuz. He was a dancing queen. We had agreat time together. This girl then proceeded to tell me the story of this place. Every bar has a story. The Necto, so she told me was awesome and then the Gay boys started taking over. Then the straight girls came to get away from the guys, and then they figured it out. This place was so packed it was ridiculous. And you can smoke inside. Now, Im a smoker but give the girl a break. Merkuz walked away dancing with some cute boy, so I went out for air. I was out there for about 8 minutes, right in front of the glass doors. I turned around to reenter and the door was locked. The bleep-bleep-bleep at the door would not let me in. I didn't have a jacket or the car keys. He just looked at me plead to him and turned away. OK. I stood there and stewed in my anger. Then some crazy old man and some guy walked up, and were let
in right away. As the last guy walked in, i grabbed the door open and ripped the guy at the door a new one. I souldn't believe that he would let me stand out there and freeze. This was a big club. there was a lobby he could have let me sit in. Jeez. He told me " well you cant just go in and out like its your house." Why the hell did they give me this stupid bracelet then. Finally, he let me in after he tried to become Mr. Nice guy. A-HOLE!
As soon as I found markuz we were both so over the Necto, we almost ran out. Straight home and to bed. We had many things to do yesterday. Laundry, Whole Food shopping, and rest. After that, I did some research and found a karaoke bar. I needed a fresh relaxing experience with calm people. Markuz straightened my hair, and I convinced him to come with me. I even wore my new skirt. It was a super dive in Ypsilanti (try to pronounce it, I still can't). However, we were actually able ot talk to peolpe and have a good time. We met a
Cuties
Lovlies.....me and my homey...MR man that sand acapella just to embarass his hot son. Then we met Jim and Nick, some guys. Then jim met Nikki, and so did we. She gave me her necklace because she bought it at a yard sale from a woman who bought it in Louisiana. When she found out I was from there, she said I must have it. Amazing. Kind of made me think....what have i given away to a total stranger lately? I think all of you should do it. Be inspired. Well Nikki was there with her friend Cindy. Markuz really got to know her. She was completely inspired by what we do. She thought it was amazing that we do this. Her and Nikki were probably in there mid 40s. They were good spirits. WE wereoffered to go to there house or Nick's house to eat, but we had to leave town.
We checked out at noon and arrived in Saginaw at about 130pm. We couldn't check in so we went grocery shopping and to the movies (not in that order). We saw Lucky Number Slevin. OMG it was amazing. I recommend it to all of you.....you'll love it. i can't tell you

Hootie HOO!!
Ciao!! Who's the hottie with the straight hair???? Whoo Whoo. I feel what you're saying about giving something away to a stranger. We all get so attached to our SHIT, that most of us couldn't even fathom just GIVING it away to someone. Especially someone we DON'T EVEN KNOW. Non-attachment baby. That's the way to go. It's the only true cause of pain. Let it ebb....let it flow......be like the river, man...gliding past the mud-stuck bolders......water resists nothing....it flows around obstacles and gurgles in complete gratitude and blessed abandonment. Joyful and serene, the river gives over to the greater forces that call it along, babbling and bubbling and sloshing it's way back to the ocean. I love you, my traveling lantern. Aimers
