Jen & I
With our cocktails up in the Prudential Tower Day 7 – Sunday - Boston Well, after 5 months (since China) the mad couples (John & Jen and Dean & I) have been reunited lol.
Deb & Andres were nice enough to drive us from their place in NH in to our hotel in Malden (just out of Boston). The drive was about 45 minutes. We arrived in the morning and knocked on John & Jen's hotel door to dump our bags - this was followed by super amounts of squealing, jumping and hugging...and that was just John & Dean (KIDDING of course it was Jen & I, and the boys just cringed and wondered what the next 6 weeks would be like with us two back together again hahahah).
We caught the "T" (subway/train) in to Boston, did some shoe shopping (yehhhh BABY Skecher sneakers are like HALF the price of what they are in Perth, i'm seriously considering buying a few pairs and posting them home!!) and then we grabbed the Boston Tour Trolley Cars to get a look around the city (coz J&J are just as lazy as us, and WALKING it all just seemed like far too much effort). Ok, in
Mural on a building
I am sure there was a story behind this but I wasnt paying much attention - I just thought it looked cool!!! our defence it is COLLLLLD out there.
We decided to head up the Prudential Tower (50 or so floors up) to get a look....but we figured out the viewing deck was going to cost $44 for the 4 of us, where as we could go to the bar and for a similar cost (in fact it ended up being slightly less) get the view AND a drink. I had the yummiest martini (with starbucks coffee as the base!).
Ohhhhh we also found the MOST amazing place. With our trolley tickets we had the choice of either a harbour cruise, or visiting the "mapparium". Given the coldness and our apathy, we figured the map thing sounded so so and headed there. WOW. If anyone gets to Boston you should totally visit it...
It's a little hard to explain, but it's a 3 story stained glass globe and you stand in the middle of the globe on a glass bridge and look around the sphere at the world map. SO cool!
Dinner was at Applebees, and we're getting an early night and sleeping in while we have the chance!!!!!

J&J are just as Funky Building
How cool is this building?! It's part of the Cambridge University campas crazy as ever and the next few weeks should be one big long laugh-athon
