Baltimore,MD to Salomon I, MD

Nov 8. Baltimore, MD to Salomon I, MD

We left Henderson Warf Municipal marina in Baltimore, MD at 0700 right after sunrise. We wanted to get to Norfolk, VA before the next low pressure system gets to the area next Saturday. Once in Norfolk, VA we can continue our journey protected from the weather by the ICW.
At 0725 we were going under “Francis Scott Key Bridge” heading 151˚.
An hour later we passed by the actual “Seven Foot Knoll” that replaced the original that was moved to Baltimore’s Waterfront.
At 0859 we went by “Baltimore”. And at 0922 by “Sandy Pt” right before getting to “William P Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge”.
At 1010 we went by “Thomas Pt Shoal”.
Nothing interesting really happened besides the fact that a tug pushing a barge of dirt run into our path generating a CBDR. It got a bit close.
Around 1500 Vitto decided that we were close to a safe area to spend the night and continue in the morning. At 1550 we were going by Cedar Pt and at 1408 we were going by Drums Pt. At 1711 we anchored at Salomon Island’s inside Bay. This area is know for being the first oyster canner in the country.
Again we had problems anchoring. The CQR didn’t grab bottom.
We pulled up with half a tank of fuel.
Today we logged 72 nm.
