Sorry there wasn’t a blog this morning, we had written one but forgot to publish it, so you can all check that out if you haven’t already seen it!
Today we headed out to the French Market which had lots different stalls from tacky ‘designer’ handbags to original pieces of jewellery. Once Annie spotted the cupcake stall she made a beeline for it. They sold literal cupcakes – a cake in a cup!! 😊 Scotty didn’t go easy on it though, he liked it more! We weren’t as eager to try the alligator mind…we aren’t that adventurous!
Amongst all of the voodoo dolls that we’ve seen around New Orleans we found the coolest stall that had characters like the Joker, Spiderman, Shrek and looooooads of other ones. But Scotty had to get the Bob Marley one with a joint in his mouth because he loves the music and keeps singing his songs! We’re Jammin’, Jammin’! A new friend for Phil 😊
Once again with loads of time to spare before the next bus we went in the hotel pool for a bit, that is until it rained…It likes to rain here once a day. So we went to
a coffee shop where a clap of thunder made us think there was an earthquake it was so loud, and shook the windows! Preparing us for Hurricane Isaac maybe?
On the first bus before our transfer the police pulled us over for some reason…for 40 minutes. While we were pulled over on the highway our transfer was due to leave for Orlando and the next one would have been in 8 hours so we were slightly anxious! The driver came back on, no explanation no reassurance that the next bus would wait for us and just drove on. Luckily the bus was still there which was a massive relief because we did not want to attempt to sleep in the station for 8 hours!
So we are Orlando bound! Our first park (Universal Studios) is tomorrow but we’ll still blog about today for you all to know we’re safe 😊
Although we are having the time of our lives we are still missing you all!

A mother's concern
Dear Both, I am writing to you as a fellow parent to request that you consider the negative influence and potential peer pressure that the introduction of "Bob" to your "Phil" may have on Phil's future development. Whilst we all love Bob's music and admire his kind, but alas, sadly departed soul, we are all aware of his fondness for drugs that are still illegal in most parts of the western world. Therefore, may I kindly request that you exercise great care and supervision of Phil whilst he is in Bob's company and ensure that Bob does not become a complete "role model" and concentrate instead on teaching him guitar, making a stripey hat look cool and to never inhale!
