Weather - 79 degrees

Before leaving Pontachartrain Landing, we went to the office for a showing of a film on Hurrican Katrina. We then headed out on the road. Stopped for gas at $3.59 per gallon then on to Franklin. Franklin is a very small town with a lot of south Louisiana charm. We made this side trip to visit a highschool friend - Barry Dayton and his wife Marie. Met a man that owned land next to the neighborhood in which Barry lives and he allowed us to park on his lot. Very neat, lots of grass, nice place to spend a night and a very short walk to Barry's.

Was a good visit with Barry and his wife. Caught up on a lot of years gone by.

Ate at Sonic Drive In, watched Dancing With The Stars, and hit the bed.
